If it's been a while since you've visited our Web site (http://www.tds.
com), then you may be in for a surprise. It doesn't look the same anymore. On April 1, we introduced a new design, added some updated content and made refinements to existing pages. Have a look, and let us know what you think.

Todd P. Allaria, corporate Webmaster, Roman Alemania, graphic designer, and I worked together to refresh the site, and we're still working on it. New things are going on all the time. We strive to continually improve our site, so any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

training are areas we must address. The overall grade earned was an A+.

Matrixing Resources deserved an A- for supporting all current contracts, for stretching to support business development, and for providing new opportunities to people who work at the customer site.

The work with local colleges and universities was a highlight of Retention and Recruiting. But Los Angeles has lost several good people, therefore this section earned a C+.

In the Managing Regional Budget category, sales growth has been faster than planned and ODC sales have been higher than projected. Despite this achievement, Los Angeles has been overrunning several operating budget lines, including indirect labor and training costs, which merited this category a C-.

The Support of Partnerships deserved a B+ for positive maintenance of existing partnerships with Sun Microsystems, Sun Soft and FileNet. However, each new relationship requires investments on both sides and the difference between strategic and tactical relationships must be understood. The creation of a mutual trust is a long-term process and needs to be addressed.

Trident's Los Angeles region has been highly successful in the Effectiveness of New Business Development. Document imaging and electronic workflow, World Wide Web development, Networking and Information Security continue to be areas of value. Government opportunities include the renewal of DDP contracts, the extension of the Hughes system and administration contract, and the extension of the scanning and support effort. Serious business development is in the works in aerospace with potential clients such as TRW and Hughes. The Imaging LOB led by Mark Bradley has acquired active contracts for Bank of America, Charles Schwab, Pacific Bell and Union Bank. The Web LOB headed by Margalit Keene, has provided quality service for The Irvine Company, Promedia and GIA, among others. Bob Hermann's Network/Systems
